Blog #18

At this stage in my essay I feel like a hot mess. It seems as though I always throw a ton of deep ideas at the paper and see what ones stick. I have a strong idea of what my paper is about, but I need to articulate my argument clearly so the reader doesn’t get lost. I need to organize my thoughts that allow my paper to flow as a story. My plan is to label each paragraph with a short statement on what I’m trying to represent. Then, I’d organize the points in a way that tells the story. This part includes cutting some stuff out and adding new stuff. Lastly, ill write the story out and use my sources and details to support my claim and hopefully get an exciting, cohesive paper out of it. My challenge is usually walking the reader through my thoughts. It’s easy for me to see where I’m coming from, but it’s not so easy for the reader to bridge those gaps. If I have problems revising I will have my peers read it and see what they think about arranging my structure differently.
